08/17/2018

The Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce's Women's Business Council and Community Howard Regional Health present the 2018 Intentional Women's Leadership Conference.

Set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, the conference is a great opportunity for professional and personal development. There will be 18 breakout sessions to choose from, covering topics such as leading through change, 360 coaching, servant leadership, emotional intelligence, mentoring, safety in the workplace/sexual harassment, personal branding, employee engagement, and more.

The conference's keynote speaker will be Jennifer Hindman, vice president and chief operations officer for Community Howard Regional Health. She will present on "Influence over Authority: Winning at the Game of Office Politics." With more than 20 years of experience in talent management and operations at Community Howard, Hindman has a passion for leadership development and enjoys mentoring, coaching, and encouraging others to fulfill their purpose and goals.

"The Women's Business Council focuses on mentoring other women in their professional and personal life skills, as well as providing focused networking opportunities,” said Chamber Manager Kimberly Pinkerton. “This event builds on that purpose in a very intentional method.

“With a wide variety of speakers and over 100 women coming together at this conference,” she said, “attendees will come away with an array of new resources and contacts."

The conference will be held at the Kokomo Event and Conference Center, and registrations are now available. The cost to attend is $60 per person or $45 each for companies that register three or more attendees. For Chamber members, the discounted cost to attend is $50 per person or $35 each for companies registering three or more attendees. Presented by the Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce, the conference is sponsored by Community Howard Regional Health.
