Artist Alley

Artist Alley downtown seeks artists for new exhibit

Artist Alley is looking for artists to participate in its 2018-2019 exhibit.

Located at 210 N. Main St. in downtown Kokomo, the 24-7 outdoor art gallery can accommodate 14 hanging art pieces and three free-standing sculpture pieces. Hanging artwork can be any medium and should be large format, up to 8 foot by 8 foot. Sculptures must fit on a 2 foot by 2 foot pedestal and cannot exceed 200 pounds or 8 feet.

There is no theme for the exhibit, leaving artists to explore their own creativity. Interested artists must complete an application, which is due Aug. 3. Those chosen to participate will be notified within a few days of the deadline, with installation set for Sept. 5-6. There will be an exhibit opening during First Friday on Sept. 7 and exhibiting artists are encouraged to attend.

Artist Alley provides the marine board plywood for paintings and concludes each exhibit with an art sale. For additional information, contact Susan Alexander by calling 765-319-0019 or emailing salexander@greaterkokomo.com.

Artist Alley is a partnership of the Kokomo Art Association and the Greater Kokomo Downtown Association.
