Warehouse employment offers a range of positions, from forklift driver to warehouse managerThe education and skills required are as varied as the jobs themselves.
 
There are three types of warehouse jobs:
  • Logistics (the control and tracking of materials and information between the manufacturer and the final consumer.)
    • Forklift operator
    • Systems analyst
    • Data management Tech.
  • Material distribution (receiving & shipping activities: roles control everything that enters and leaves the facility and are responsible for ensuring that all required paperwork is completed correctly)
    • Value of this role increases with hazardous or international shipping activity
    • HS Diploma REQUIRED at the bare minimum; 2 years experience MINIMUM + additional safety and  industry specific training.
  • Management (operation of the facility, maximizing the space usage and staff management.  Several layers of management may exist, ranging from floor supervisors to multi-location managers
