KOKOMO, Ind. (Jan. 13, 2017) – The Greater Kokomo
Downtown Association wants your thoughts on the future of the city’s center.
The association is
holding a Downtown District Briefing on Tuesday, Jan. 17. This is an
opportunity for anyone interested in downtown Kokomo to get involved, be heard
or just learn what's happening in downtown.
The event will be 5 to 7:15
p.m. in the Community Room of The Train Depot, 500 N. Buckeye St. The evening
starts at 5 p.m. with a social hour that will include private tours of Tin Man
Brewing and light refreshments.
Starting at 6 p.m.,
attendees will hear short updates from downtown businesses and organizations. There
will be also updates on private downtown projects such as the Market Street
Townhomes and Greater Kokomo Downtown Association initiatives such a public art
project and more. Topics will also include First Fridays, Bike Nights and the Kokomo
Public Art Action Coalition.
At 6:45 p.m., those
attending will have a chance to share their insights and ideas for downtown
There is no cost to
attend and the event is open to the public. Registration is not required.
