- employ at least 10 but not more than 100 people
- have maintained their principal place of business in Indiana for the previous two years, at least
- generate at least $750,000 but not more than $10 million in annual revenue
- have increased either their number of full-time employees in Indiana or their gross revenues during two of the previous five years
Essentially, the IBGN operates according to the principals of "economic gardening," which postulates that economies can be grown "internally" by local companies, and the role of the community is to provide sophisticated information and services that improve the natural entrepreneurial process.

Educational Workshops and Seminars
In partnership with various companies, the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance offers a variety of business education workshops and seminars throughout the year. These are formatted as "Chamber University" workshops and Eggs & Issues. A variety of business-related topics is covered.
